I got a call from the Juren School at noon informing me that you’ve passed the Cambridge Young Learners English Test with full a full mark ( Fifteen guilds)!
I was more than delighted at the news. Though I knew you were capable enough to achieve it, I was really not sure if you could ( coz I think you are a little bit careless sometimes….:) When you finished the test in September, your mom asked how you felt about it, you told her confidently, ” I think I can get 15 guilds!” We are pleased with your confidence, yet there was still a little doubt left in our minds. However, you’ve made it NOW! And you are the only one who’s got 15 guilds among about 100 hundred students registered to take this test in that school!
I’ve been thinking a lot. Those scenes seem to appear in front of my eye all of a sudden. I still clearly remember the time I began to teach you English when you were four years old, and I was so overjoyed at your interest in learning the language. And, I soberly knew how precious it was and tried and have always been trying not to ruin it. I chose Disney Magic English which I thought might interest you.
I still remember the joyous time when we watch Disney Magic English together. Those lovely cartoon characters, along with their pure and standard English, have substantially influenced you in your study. I was so happy seeing you jumping about with excitement, repeating those lines in the movie clips…and intoxicated in it….And from then on, I knew you could do well in English, because you were so interested in it!
Though we were late in deciding to take the test last year, I made the decision for you that we skip Starters and go to Movers directly. Now it’s proved to be a wise decision. Cool!
And, I was proud that I was determined to teach you all by myself! Oh, your dad is not a bad teacher, then!
Now that we have been learning Flyers, I’m more confident in achieving the final success. Because I have full confidence in you. Let’s just work much harder than before to achieve it!
Your Mom and I are delighted with every progress you’ve made, and we are always behind you. Maybe tonight we will have a celebration together!
Congratulations to you again, Frank! And toast for our success!
I’m So Proud Of You, Frank!
